Who are art educators? What roles do art educators play?

Art educators can be teachers, lecturers, technicians or anyone that will teach you to be creative. An art educator is someone that teaches you and lets you experiment with the media of art.

My experiences with my art teachers are all positive. They were all encouraging and helpful to teach me new techniques. When I used to get stuck and didn’t know what to do next, my art teachers would show me a new medium or encourage me to do multiple piece of art work so I could be doing different work.
My art teacher would encourage me to use that space that we had, I had a table set up with glass bottles and was able to do still life, would encourage me to do bigger piece of art work and tell me to try and use different medium so I could learn what I liked working with and what I didn’t like.
Whilst being at school I feel like the teachers were very passionate about what they taught and love seeing the new ideas you come up with and what work you had being producing
Then when going to university and doing my diploma the dark room technician did different work-shops and encouraged me to do them and then experiment with my work, and if rooms wasn’t booked he would always let me use the space to do work.
